I heard screeching brakes and a bang on our "H-4" in front of my home. With camera in hand, I immediately left the house and, after knowing (fortunately) that there were no injuries, took the following pictures. The damage was quite severe to the two vehicles. The neighbor with the "blind" driveway was exiting uphill with her dark gray SUV to turn right onto Kaneohe Bay Drive and the beige car heading toward Aikahi Shopping center hit her broadside.
Ironically, the driveway where the accident took place is the driveway between Paul deVos' driveway (44-398 KBDrive) and my driveway (44-390 KBDrive). How's that for picking the WRONG houses to have an accident!

On Sept. 15, 2010, the other driver ran the stop sign at the 4way stop on Luluku and Anoi roads. She broad sided me causing my 240 SX LE to spin and end up facing the direction the other car was coming from.
That intersection has more than 100 cars traveling through between 3:30pm to 6pm, daily.
Councilmember Ikaika Anderson, Rep. Ken Ito, and Sen. Tokuda have met with the Keapuka community to address the public safety and transportation issues.
DTS is conducting a study of whether a roundabout or traffic light would suit that intersection.
New information came to me the other day that the Board of Water Supply's major piping hub is under that intersection; therefore, it isn't a place to be dug up.
When the DTS study is complete and a solution is given, a CIP from the KNB will be requested.
I hope the KNB members at that time support the CIP request.
